Dr. Paul Mbanga PhD


Mr. Mbanga is a Board member of International Development Institute – Africa (IDIA).

Mr.Mbanga holds a PhD in Global Health from University of Kwazulu Natal, Masters Degree in Community Health & Development, Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) Kenya, Master of Organizational Leadership International Leadership University (ILU)-Nairobi Kenya, Higher Diploma in Community Health and Development and Diploma in Registered Nursing (KRN) Kenya Medical Training College Nairobi (KMTC.

Mr. Mbanga is an accomplished public health expert with over 20 years of experience in health and development fields having worked in various organizations in Kenya spanning from ministry of health, Faith based organizations to local and international organizations. He has experience and competencies in Strategic leadership development , Organizational Governance ,management, Program cycle management, Cross-cultural leadership, Negotiation, lobbying and advocacy, Community Empowerment, Mentoring, coaching and training, Social Audit and, Evidence Based Planning, Conflict Transformation, Capacity Building, Gender and Development, Operations research and Evaluation, Participatory approaches to community development, Resource mobilization/ proposal writing, Building and managing coalitions and Partnerships, Service demand generation and Right based approaches in Health and Development.

Currently Mr. Mbanga is the executive director Training, Research and consulting with IDIA in health and development. He worked as the Country Director LIA-Kenya, technical Advisor for John Snow Inc.
